Hello, well the microphone has arrived today, so it is a great day :)   I feel much better now about everything and have turned the corner.

My music will have to wait a few more weeks until I finish setting up my new online business, it is a side line so I don’t have to go back to secretarial work, and I can be my own boss while continuing to work on my music/art pursuits.   I heard via secretarial agencies in Melbourne, Australia that we are in for a double dip recession with the new carbon tax, and there are no new secretarial roles as they are mostly all frozen.  Hence, I think I have made a very wise decision to take control over my own life so it has some stability.  It is kind of nice to be your own boss too.  Maybe the recession doesn’t effect the people at the top, but it sure effects the people at the lower end like secretaries.

I kind of have a triple life, so progress is slower that if I just had a single one, but I am getting there.

Feeling very happy and positive about my new enterprize, and I think that I can apply the e-commerce and viral marketing principles I will be implementing on that business to my music business later this year.  My music is not yet finished and is still in development so it would be premature to do that now.  However it is nearly there.

Good news about my weight loss also, I lost another 1.2kgs this week.  In 3 more months or so I should be at my goal weight :)

Everything happens for a reason, so this small business enterprize can only enhance my music pursuits and give them stability.

Am aiming to launch my new sideline business by early June.  So far so good :)

Yeah, and I still love Nile, but I just needed a rest to sort myself out.

Well I am focussing more on balancing the real world with the virtual world.  To date I have only made quite a big loss with my music and art, so am focusing upon a totally different business as a side-line so I don’t starve to death over here, with my double whammy of art/music pursuits.

I intend to launch my business in within the next month sometime and am busy working on it while waiting for a new microphone to arrive in the post.  I think my microphone breaking was an omen, and I need to earn a proper living instead of living like such a tragic recluse.

I am also feeling better now after facing reality and making the above decision, so I am returning to Nile Rodgers blog again, as my mind is clear now, and I do care about him.  I just had to get my real life back together, as it was falling apart.

Hello again :)

well I have decided it best to face reality and stop posting on the Nile Rodgers planet-c blog anymore,  for personal reasons.  I still care about him, but I was getting too carried away and it was doing my head in.

So my exhibition will now be based solely on ‘me’ as I am strong enough to stand alone, so will be showcasing myself, as did many serious visual artists such as Cindy Sherman, Andy Warhol, Vincent Van Gogh, Frida Kahlos, etc.  Self portraits are a serious art subject as the artist knows themself inside out.  It will still be a multi-media exhibition, with photos, drawings and oil paintings as well as textiles and music.  I am just letting it evolve.

I have fiddled around with my new mixing software and am getting amazing results, much much MUCH better than the audio on my website and YouTube.  Will keep it as a surprise for later.

I was just doing some experimenting today with sound engineering variables to fine tune sound even more, when I discovered that someone has killed my microphone and it doesn’t work anymore :(  I think it was some kids who were playing with it secretly while it was in storage at my folks.  Not very happy about that as I need to order and wait for another one now.  What a hassle.

In the meantime I am updating my sound library, etc and practicing my instruments, working on musicianship as well as my button pushing.  I got some virtual instrument synth software too, which will be great fun to create tailor made textural backgrounds for my songs.

So am basically practicing at the moment with instruments, real and virtual.

Need to re-sing all my songs again and remix them, but have to wait for new microphone to arrive. ahhhhhhh.

Oh well.  I might write some new songs while I wait to and start doing some sketches.

I am back on track with my weight loss and lost .7 kgs this week :)  and I didn’t even track or do much exercise.  Will track and do a bit more exercise this week, so hopefully will lose over 1kg for next week.
